Equality is misunderstood to infer sameness.
Difference is misunderstood to infer inequality.

Equal is misunderstood to mean identical.

Hierarchy is misunderstood to infer superiority/inferiority.

First (chronologically) is misunderstood to infer better or more important.

Authority is misunderstood to infer superiority.
Authority is misunderstood to mean domination.
Authority is misunderstood to authorise subjection of those under authority.

Submission is misunderstood to mean inferiority.
Submission is misunderstood to mean subordination.
Submission is misunderstood to require abject and slavish servility.
