This message outline focuses on six Old Testament anticipations of the coming Christ.
1. The child of the woman who would defeat the devil – Genesis 3:15.
2. The descendant of Abraham, through whom all the nations of the world would be blessed – Genesis 22:18.
3. The prophet like Moses, through whom God would act as Redeemer – Deuteronomy 18:15.
4. The King like David, of David’s line, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom – Isaiah 9:7.
5. The Shepherd of God’s people – Ezekiel 34.
6. The LORD – Isaiah 40:1 – 31.
