#3 Literature
There are many ‘evangelistic’ tracts published as witnessing tools. Some are good some are not so good. Check out any tracts you have, asking these questions about it:
Does is communicate the ‘good news’? [Check it against the focus of the good news defined in #1 above]
Is what is states actually biblical truth?
Does it have the potential to promote the glory of God?
Is it focused on who God is [who Jesus Christ is] or what man needs?
Is it so full of Christian clichés and jargon that no one can understand it?
Does it address the reader as a real person to whom God is reaching out in love?
Does it leave the reader confused or enlightened?
Is it relevant to contemporary society and culture?
Is it short enough to be read, but long enough to communicate significant truth?
Does it give the reader some direction about what to do next if the content impacts him/her?
Is there space for you to put your, or your church’s, contact details?
