Message Outline 

Matthew 7:13-29

1. Matthew 7:12-14 - Stand firm against the majority - the picture of the narrow gate.

The 'majority' is usually wrong about spiritual matters.

2. Matthew 7:15-23 - Stand firm against false teachers - the picture of the tree and its fruit

Do not allow ourselves to be manipulated by the appearance.

3. Matthew 7:24-27 - Stand on the firm foundation of the word of Christ - the picture of the two houses.

The importance of grounding our lives on the word of Christ and not on our own desires and understanding.

We cannot follow Jesus and do as we please, if we do as we please we are actually NOT following Jesus.
