Glossary

The Glossary on this site contains a relatively brief list of words or terms used either in the Bible or in hsitorical and contemporary Christian communication in churches, messages, books, etc. In addition it contains a small number of relevant religious and secular terms or words.

A strict length limit has been maintained for each entry. Adherence to this limit means that in some instances it has been impossible to adequately explain the concept in question.

The presence of a concept or teaching in the Glossary does not indicate that the author is affirming that specific belief or practice. The purpose is to describe, not to affirm. In some instances, if space allowed, indication is given of the author's rejection of a belief or practice. The author writes from a conservative, evangelical, reformation perspective.

The purpose of this Glossary is to give very brief explanations or descriptions of the meaning of the selected words. The reader is encourged to suggest the addition of other specific words.
